Is the light on a ceiling fan enough to light the room?
For a bedroom, usually. For a living room or kitchen, usually not on its own. Integrated fan lights commonly land between 1,000 and 2,500 lumens, where a living room generally wants 3,000 or more in total. Treat the fan light as one layer and plan downlights or lamps alongside it.
Can the light be replaced when the LED fails?
On most modern fans the LED is integrated rather than a replaceable globe, so a failed array means a replacement light kit rather than a new bulb. Check whether the model takes a standard globe if long-term serviceability matters to you.
Can I run the fan without the light, and the light without the fan?
Yes on essentially every model — the remote or wall control operates them independently. What varies is whether both are on one switched circuit at the wall, which is a wiring decision for your electrician.
Are fan lights dimmable?
Many are, via the supplied remote rather than a wall dimmer. Some are also tri-colour, letting you switch between warm and cool white at the fitting. Check the product page — where a fan light is not dimmable, no external dimmer will make it so.
