Extension rods, remote kits, wall controls and replacement components to suit Martec ceiling fans.
Fan parts and fitment
What length downrod do I need?
Take your ceiling height, subtract 2.1m for the minimum floor-to-blade clearance, then subtract the fan body height from the product page. What is left is your maximum rod length. On a 3m ceiling that typically lands around a 300mm rod; on 2.4m you generally want no rod at all.
Will any remote work with my fan?
No. Remotes and receiver modules are matched to a specific fan family, and fitting a non-original remote or light kit voids the manufacturer's warranty on the entire fan. Give us the model number and we will confirm the correct part.
Can I add a light to a fan that did not come with one?
Sometimes — a number of models are sold in both versions and accept the matching light kit later. It has to be the kit designed for that fan. There is no universal fan light.
Can I retrofit a wall control to a remote fan?
Often yes, using the wall control specified for that model, and it needs an electrician because it involves the wiring in the wall. Confirm the part against your model before ordering.
